How much is postage?

Our website runs on a 'total based' shipping policy and our current charges are listed below. The prices stated are for UK deliveries only although we can use the Parcel Motel (or other similar companies) addresses for Irish deliveries.  You will need to set up your account with them first and they will take you through the steps.  We now also post to many other countries, but due to the large variance in postage charges to different countries please contact us first and we will quote for you.

£5.00-£9.99 is £2.95 postage

£10.00-£34.99 is £3.95 postage

£40.00-£69.99 is £5.95 postage

£70.00-£99.99 is £6.95 postage

£100.00+ is free postage

Due to postage being beyond our control, customers should allow an additional 4 days before raising a query regarding missing items.

Who do you use to post orders?

We use Royal Mail  for most of our deliveries, but we do require the use of Couriers for larger and heavier orders.  We always try to post multiple customer orders together when they are placed within a short timeframe.  If we manage to do this we will refund the difference in postage paid minus 50p for each extra order to cover payment gateway fees incurred which we would not have been charged had all orders been placed as one.  However, this is not a guarantee and at very busy times we will post them separately.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

We do not hold stock on any items and therefore your order will be placed in to a queue.  If you order has bespoke/personalised items it will take longer than an order with generic items.  Current delivery/dispatch times are displayed on the bottom of every page and you will receive an email once you place your order as well although these can change at any time.  Please note that these are dispatch times and not delivery times as this depends on the postal method used.

What happens if my order doesn't arrive?

All orders are posted with tracking abilities either through Royal Mail or a Courier.  If your order does not arrive feel free to contact us and we will endevour to find the delay.

What happens if an item is broken?

We will recut any items that arrive damaged in the post, however we do ask that you contact us within 48 hours of the delivery being received to report the damages and also send us the following three photos:

  • One of the damaged item/s
  • One of the exterior packaging when it arrived
  • One of the interior packaging

What if an item is not as I requested?

If an error is ours we just need a photo showing the error on the item and a replacement will be sent as soon as we possibly can.  If the error was not ours a new item will need to be purchased and postage repaid.

Am I protected on personalised items?

If we make an error on a personalised item we will replace it.  However, we will type and spell the design as you leave it on your order (unless stated otherwise).  So if you type in all CAPS that is how the item will be designed.  If you request a mock up of your design before it is posted and you wish to change it we can do this once, however, if you choose to cancel a personalised item after it has been designed, but before it is cut, then there is a £5 design fee that will not be refunded.  This covers part of the time we have taken to design your item.  If your personalised item is cut when you choose to cancel I am afraid that unless we have made an error on the item it will not be refunded and instead it will still be posted as personalised items cannot be resold.

What is the best paint to use?

After asking lots of my customers acrylic seems to be popular but it is always recommended to do a base layer first.  Many customers also like the tester pots in DIY stores.  You could also consider spray paints, but ultimately it is personal choice.

Do I need to sand my item before I paint it?

We would always recommend sanding down the 18mm mdf and then add your base paint layer and then sand again once fully dry to get a smooth finish before your final layer or two.  The 3 and 6mm is cut with a laser and should not require sanding.
